Songs are judged on composition, musicality, melody, marketablility, lyrics and originality. The quality of the production and performance will not be considered.

Nominees for each category are selected following each of the two session
submissions by ISSA staff.

The grand prize winner and recipient of the $1,000 cash prize is selected by the official judging panel from all nominees across all categories.

Winners for each of the 8 categories are selected by fan vote. Details on the fan voting process will be announced at the end of the second session.
